Protective Styles: Crochet Braids with Nubian Naffy Braid

July 25, 2014

Last year I wrote a blog post about crochet braids. At the time I was using Bobbi Boss Afro Twist hair, but have since tried a few different types of hair.  One of my favorites is the Nubian Naffy Braid.  This is the most natural synthetic hair ever! I love it because it blends in seamlessly with my natural hair and allows for some leave out.  It can also be flat ironed straight, but not bone straight like relaxed hair.  If you're in the Raleigh/Durham area, check out my stylist SJ Protective Styles

  1. LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!! This is the type of hair I need. I'm guessing I'll be ordering it online if I cant find it in Dallas.

How many bags did you use? I love the idea of leave out. *yay*

  5. Can you please tell me how you care for the hair and keep it from becoming one huge tangled mess? I want this style but I know how awful synthetic hair is. After a day you can run your fingers or a comb thru it. I've had to take scissors and try to 'comb' the hair before.
